My Twitter Background Designs:

I've had a couple of twitter background designs that I've created, and they kind of just lay there doing nothing after I get another one. I figured I'd share them on my blog since that's another thing I like to do that has to do with creativity (design twitter backgrounds). If you follow me on twitter ( @Spinkly ) you definitely know how many times I change my background and my picture. I usually get bored quickly and I'm ready to change them by the time the week is over. So people probably don't get to see them. If you create or design something, its only fair that you show it. I usually create my background from this cool website freetwitterdesigner.com

Here is some of my favourite ones that I designed from that site...

This was my first twitter background ever designed

I was feeling all cartoony.

This was when I learned how to line a couple of pictures, I was excited about that.

In the background above I wanted to feature some of my paintings.

Sometimes I do some random designs to display my new hairdo...

Purple's my favourite colour, can you tell?

I love my sisters!!!

I liked this background cause of Rihanna's song, Rude Boy.. if you've heard it or seen it you'll understand the boom boom boom. Lol, that's actually my favourite part in the song.

I did the twitter background above for Valentines Day.

I really love the twilight saga books. Ok, let me just say I'm a twihard, so here's some themed twilight backgrounds that I designed:

The twitter background represents twilight, mostly because of the idea of the apple.

The twitter background represents the four books in the twilight saga.

I had this twitter background when I was reading eclipse

This twitter background was designed for the eclipse countdown.

Sometimes my friends let me do their backgrounds so here is some of the ones I did for @VanikaPink:

After that I learned how to design twitter background on my own without the help of the website which is really cool! I kind of liked the whole Idea and thought I should work on developing my skills. I mean sometime's I'll still go back and use it, but mostly its through the Gimp program that my sister advised me to download. Here is some of the ones I did using Gimp:

These two were kind of the same, but I wanted to change the left image, so I did some editing.

I did the above twitter background for @bakinyi

did the above twitter background for @buramag

Did the above twitter background for @OBURACD

did the above twitter background for @dan_obura

I did this twitter background for when I'm in love with the music, so I thought I'd represent.

did this above twitter background for @jaberobura

did the above twitter background for @Achieng12

Did the above twitter background for @VanikaPink

That's some of my twitter backgrounds. They are usually fun to design because they help me explore my creativity. Let me know if you want me to pimp out your twitter page... and Let me know what you think of them by your comments, or hitting me up on twitter @Spinkly

These are some of the things I learned to do on my own, and still learning by the way...

Sunday Photo-shoot:

Here is another photo shoot I did last Sunday for my small sister, Vanessa. I got some really good shots. I usually like taking her cause she's fun and she's very photogenic. Lol, am thinking she's starting to notice, I mean who wouldn't. See for yourself.

Just because you see me smile, doesn't really mean I'm smiling.

Today I was just on a downward spiral. Let me not say today, its been a while now. Everything I touch or put my thought into doesn't work out. Its been going on for a while that I've become so pessimistic in everything that I do. I don't mean to be like that... it just so happens that everything lately has not been working out. The one thing that kept me going, today I just got an email that it didn't go through and I felt so crushed. I don't think I have enough tears to cry out my emotions. Even though I chose to cry, and keep crying myself to sleep. I'd still wake up tomorrow and it would be the same thing over... its so annoying! Even though my world stopped turning, or ended, doesn't mean that everyone's else did.
Sometimes I want to give up because its the only thing left for me to do. The easier thing to do. Usually I wouldn't blog this kind of stuff, I'd write it down in my diary like I always do and that would be it. Honestly, I don't care any more. That's just how I feel. Its been rough lately. Its going to take a while for me to get back on my feet again. My advice from my experiences would be, "don't put all your eggs in one basket." Sigh! and also, don't count your chicks before they hatch. Urgghhhh! back to the drawing board again.

Here's a song to cheer me up:

Leaving the nest:

How cool is this painting done by Michael Zayn? The title is 'leaving the nest' which is exactly what I had in mind today.

I think there's a time in our lives we all grow up, become adults, and know it's time we move out and live on our own. That's the time when you feel your parents start to get to you and you want to get away from that.

Let me tell you this: if you ever get a chance to leave home, whether it's boarding school, college, marriage, I don't know, whatever it is... whatever the first chance of getting your freedom is; ones you experience it, its just never the same when you move back home. I realised that when I went to boarding school, went to college in American, and then returned home after finishing my studies.

For starters, I have to say I have a lot of restrictions. I'm not really used to being told what to do and what not to do. So its been hard for me. I can't really leave the house when I want without having to explain myself, or telling my parents where I'm going... you know? that kind of stuff. It gets annoying sometimes. I have to admit I feel like a kid again. Anyway, these things happen I guess. I just sometimes feel restricted, that's all. I was wondering if its just me? I feel like a bird who's ready to fly away and I'm lingering on my nest longer than I should. Give me time people, besides Rome wasn't build in a day.

Here is one of my very own paintings I painted of two lovely birds.

I think I was in a passionate mood when I painted this. Something about birds and flying away, sharing is caring. I feel restricted in so many ways... I don't like that I feel that way sometimes. I want to be free.

This week's travel to Mombasa

I love to cherish every memory; hence, take a lot of pictures cause it helps me remember. As I mentioned on my bio, one of the things I love to do is travel. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want to or like travelling. We all must try and experience the world somewhere else, not just that one place you were born in and brought up in. Whoever who hates travelling has never been anywhere else. Maybe they just ain't seeing the world through my lens.

This week I went to Mombasa and I have to say it was one of my best experiences ever! I just got back yesterday (Friday) and if it had been my choice I would have stayed there for a whole month. For those who don't know where  Mombasa is, it's in the Coast of Kenya by the Indian Ocean. You can Google the map for a better view if you like :)

I decided to do some local tourism with the family because I usually do the worldly tours. I've been to so many places around the world but I'm sad to say that I had only been to Mombasa once, and that was 11 years ago.  Therefore, I can't say I remember much... thank God for pictures to say the least. That is why I had to go again. It was really beautiful! Still is... you can go see for yourself. Our trip started on Monday where I took a 40 minutes flight with the family to our location. I took a lot of pictures, which is one of the many things I like to do as a hobby :) I'll share some of them with you on my blog.
Lol, hope my sister doesn't mind me putting her up with this view. It was the Reserve where we were staying.

The above is the ocean front view of the Reserve, really lovely!

Since the Reserve was by the beach, I liked to walk there in the morning to watch the sunrise:
                                                                 Isn't that pretty!
We also went into the Indian ocean to snorkel, which was lots of fun! This was on a Tuesday afternoon. Never done this before. Unfortunately I didn't come prepared.. so I watched the siblings snorkelling for there 1st time, while I fed the fish and took pictures.

On Wednesday we went to Tsavo East National Park and spent the night there. Here is a pic of where we stayed at. I liked the back view that allowed us to watch the animals in their natural habitat.

I mean who needs National Geographic while you got this on the balcony of your hotel room, I had spotted some Elephants, Zebras, Antelopes, Warthogs, and all sorts of different types of birds. My binoculars was of great use. If only I had a high definition camera to capture the distance and all. All in all I loved it! Just check it out...

I would like to encourage fellow Kenyans to do some local touring. Everyone there that we saw or were with was a foreigner. We even had some traffic when we spotted something good.

Below are some more of the cool pics of the animals I captured through my camera lens:

Elephants at a water hole
Zebra
Antelope (Male Impala)
Water Antelopes
Cheetahs

Giraffe

Buffaloes
Zebras walking in line, wonder where they were headed.
Remains of a giraffe that was captured by a lion
Lion, this one just crossed in front of the tour Van, I was too excited for my own good.

Baboon
Elephant feeding
Front view of Elephant, it was really close :)
More Antelopes on our path, thought it was a cool pic!
Guinea fowls
Male Ostriches

That was just some of the cool shots I took, and of course, let me not forget our breakfast view Thursday morning during sunrise:

We then left for Mombasa in the afternoon and I even got to go swimming, play some sand volleyball and table tennis. Really loved our vacation! Hope Everyone else enjoyed their week like I did. I got back Yesterday afternoon (Friday). Hope to go again!
