This week's travel to Mombasa

I love to cherish every memory; hence, take a lot of pictures cause it helps me remember. As I mentioned on my bio, one of the things I love to do is travel. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want to or like travelling. We all must try and experience the world somewhere else, not just that one place you were born in and brought up in. Whoever who hates travelling has never been anywhere else. Maybe they just ain't seeing the world through my lens.

This week I went to Mombasa and I have to say it was one of my best experiences ever! I just got back yesterday (Friday) and if it had been my choice I would have stayed there for a whole month. For those who don't know where  Mombasa is, it's in the Coast of Kenya by the Indian Ocean. You can Google the map for a better view if you like :)

I decided to do some local tourism with the family because I usually do the worldly tours. I've been to so many places around the world but I'm sad to say that I had only been to Mombasa once, and that was 11 years ago.  Therefore, I can't say I remember much... thank God for pictures to say the least. That is why I had to go again. It was really beautiful! Still is... you can go see for yourself. Our trip started on Monday where I took a 40 minutes flight with the family to our location. I took a lot of pictures, which is one of the many things I like to do as a hobby :) I'll share some of them with you on my blog.
Lol, hope my sister doesn't mind me putting her up with this view. It was the Reserve where we were staying.

The above is the ocean front view of the Reserve, really lovely!

Since the Reserve was by the beach, I liked to walk there in the morning to watch the sunrise:
                                                                 Isn't that pretty!
We also went into the Indian ocean to snorkel, which was lots of fun! This was on a Tuesday afternoon. Never done this before. Unfortunately I didn't come prepared.. so I watched the siblings snorkelling for there 1st time, while I fed the fish and took pictures.

On Wednesday we went to Tsavo East National Park and spent the night there. Here is a pic of where we stayed at. I liked the back view that allowed us to watch the animals in their natural habitat.

I mean who needs National Geographic while you got this on the balcony of your hotel room, I had spotted some Elephants, Zebras, Antelopes, Warthogs, and all sorts of different types of birds. My binoculars was of great use. If only I had a high definition camera to capture the distance and all. All in all I loved it! Just check it out...

I would like to encourage fellow Kenyans to do some local touring. Everyone there that we saw or were with was a foreigner. We even had some traffic when we spotted something good.

Below are some more of the cool pics of the animals I captured through my camera lens:

Elephants at a water hole
Zebra
Antelope (Male Impala)
Water Antelopes
Cheetahs

Giraffe

Buffaloes
Zebras walking in line, wonder where they were headed.
Remains of a giraffe that was captured by a lion
Lion, this one just crossed in front of the tour Van, I was too excited for my own good.

Baboon
Elephant feeding
Front view of Elephant, it was really close :)
More Antelopes on our path, thought it was a cool pic!
Guinea fowls
Male Ostriches

That was just some of the cool shots I took, and of course, let me not forget our breakfast view Thursday morning during sunrise:

We then left for Mombasa in the afternoon and I even got to go swimming, play some sand volleyball and table tennis. Really loved our vacation! Hope Everyone else enjoyed their week like I did. I got back Yesterday afternoon (Friday). Hope to go again!
